More Disney related updates!!

”I’m a pop singer. I’m not gonna try to be ‘Oh, I’m hardcore….’ I’m with Disney! But bubblegum isn’t really my thing.” Quotes Demi Lovato. Below is the article about her.

By Leah Greenblatt

A pretty girl, an old-fashioned candy shop, a sunny September afternoon — what could be sweeter? Sixteen-year-old Demi Lovato, loose coffee-colored waves tumbling over her shoulders, chin distinctly dimpled, grabs giddily at handfuls of Gobstoppers and jelly beans inside Economy Candy, a decades-old fixture on New York City’s Lower East Side. The Norman Rockwell tableau is marred, however, by a phenomenon entirely new to Lovato: the relentless platinum pop of a dozen paparazzi flashbulbs, only feet from the store’s entrance. Apparently, a celebrity photo agency has been tipped off to the young star’s presence here today for an EW photo shoot, and in this iPhone-riddled, post-Perez world, word spreads fast.

Old folks may not know her name yet, but to the Disney demographic, Lovato is already major. She is best known as the costar, alongside teen dreamboats the Jonas Brothers, of the Disney TV movie Camp Rock, which has already been seen by 35 million U.S. viewers since its premiere in June. Now she has released her debut album, Don’t Forget, featuring extensive contributions from the Jonases. (She also spent the summer opening their frenzy-inducing tour.) And with even more projects in the works, there’s a chance the Dallas native could unseat the Mouse’s reigning queen, Miley Cyrus. Still, when told that several photographers have abandoned a sighting of tabloid catnip Katie Holmes in order to rush downtown and capture this moment, Lovato’s doll-like brown eyes widen in seemingly genuine disbelief. ”Whoa. For me, seriously?”

Even in the context of the entertainment industry’s dog-years fame cycle — and the Disney star factory that incubated the likes of Britney, Justin, and the current High School Musical crew — Lovato’s rise has been precipitous. Born in 1992 to a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader-turned-country singer (”[My mother] opened at Six Flags for, like, Reba McEntire and George Strait,” says the proud daughter), Lovato attended a local casting call at age 5 for Barney & Friends, but was turned down, she recalls, ”because I didn’t know how to read yet.” The next year, newly literate, she made the cut, and spent two seasons there alongside best friend and future fellow Disney star Selena Gomez.

Post-purple dinosaur, Lovato found occasional guest roles (including a 2006 episode of Prison Break), but her real launch came at a Dallas Disney talent search, where a screen test led to a role on As the Bell Rings, a recurring series of shorts that runs between programs on the network. ”Even though the show was only, like, five minutes, it was the Disney Channel!” she says. ”I thought it was the coolest thing.” And also the scariest: ”When I got the part, I actually cried. I thought, I’m not going to be able to do this — I’m not funny! I’m never going to be able to work for the Disney Channel, because they’re based on comedy.” And off the set, her peers had already proved less than kind, especially when it came to her career. ”I asked to leave public school,” she says. ”I was kind of bullied. I had a hate wall in the bathroom, and everyone signed a petition that said ‘We all hate Demi Lovato.”’

Anyone who disapproved of Lovato’s previous showbiz forays probably had conniptions over Camp Rock. An enjoyable, fairly self-explanatory trifle (It’s a summer camp! For rock!), the movie serves largely as a vehicle for its stars’ song-and-dance routines, a sweet G-rated romance, and parent-pleasing lessons on self-esteem and friendship.

But oh, that romance! Today, Lovato is sanguine about the OMG-ocracy’s heated reaction to her onscreen relationship with the alluringly eyebrowed Joe Jonas, now 19 and widely considered the hunkiest of the three brothers. ”Imagine being new to Disney,” she says wryly, ”and your first big job is being the romantic interest of one of the biggest heartthrobs on the channel. Any girl that is a friend of the Jonas Brothers gets hate mail and is automatically suspected as a girlfriend.”

For all the fans who resent Lovato’s proximity to the holy trinity of Disney boyflesh, however, she wants to be clear: ”Joe and I never dated. We’re really good friends. I just think it’s funny that people try to pin me to them. It’s like, Oh, come on! I think [if I were going to] I would have dated one of them by now!”

NEXT PAGE: ”Um, I really don’t know Miley that well. We didn’t take offense or think [a much-viewed video on the Web in which Cyrus and a friend poked fun at Lovato] was a negative or a positive. It was just like, Okay, cool, Hannah Montana knows who I am!”

Suite Life on Deck- Parrot Island (Episode 2)

Here is the second episode of the Suite Life On Deck!

Hannah Montana: The Movie + Disney Movies in General

Most recently Miley Cyrus released the date of the Hannah Montana movie (which is April 10th, 2009 BTW). But, she also unveils a few lyrics from a new Hannah Montana song (we haven't heard a new one since Summer 2007!). And here they are:

"I can almost see it/ That dream I'm dreaming/ But there's a voice inside saying, 'You'll never make it,' (chorus) "There's always gonna be another mountain/ I'm always gonna want to make it move/ There's always gonna be an uphill battle/ Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose."

Miley also has recently talked about her 16th Birthday party which kids can buy tickets too! (weird.. people have NO lifes.) Its going to be at Disney World and there's going to be a parade and everything.. Dude that is one heck of a Sweet 16!! :O

On the new Studio DC, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato will be hosting it this time. I saw a preview with Demi singing 'This is Me' and then the muppets were all freaked out bc there was nobody to do the duet part so this little muppet dude that doesn't even talk and just makes 'meep' sounds does it!!! It's hilarious! So people I suggest you watch this episode! XD

Also there is rumor about a Cars 2 (which I am excited about)!!

Metro Station!!!

Haha I never knew this before but the lead singers of Metro Station are actually older siblings of 2 Hannah Montana stars! Actually I already knew Mitchel Musso's brother, Manson Musso, was in it, but I didn't know that Miley Cyrus's older brother (he was adopted by Billy Ray) Trace Cyrus was also lead singer.. odd. LOL Anyway I thought that was interesting! It seems like everyone in the Cyrus family has released a CD! LOL

Actually it was Miley and Mitchel that had introduced their older siblings on the set of Hannah Montana. To think this Alternative/Punk band was formed on the set of Hannah Montana!! XD
Weirdddd.. LOL If you guys out their do not recognize the name of the band you will most certainly recognize their hit single "Shake It"! Actually it was the free single on iTunes for awhile (i got it then) and like a little later suddenly it was number one on iTunes! XD

Jonas-I mean LUCAS Brothers??

I had just read through a semi-reliable source: www.jonasbrothersfan.com that on the new J.O.N.A.S. (Junior Operatives Networking As Spies) that the brothers last name was going to be Lucas. How lame is that? 0_o Maybe thats going to be their 'undercover name'. I sure hope so.
That was just a quick update for now!

Squeazing every penny...

I had just read that Emily Osment (Lily from Hannah Montana) is currently recording a debut album which are also going to feature songs that she has personally written. At the moment she has 3 songs she has already released: I Don't Think About It, If I Didn't Have You (duet with Mitchel Musso), and Once Upon a Dream (which I think she did an excellent job on). Wow, Disney is just squeazing every penny possible out of these kids!!

Also I realized today that Emily Osment isn't the only kid who is busy. Check out the Jonas Brothers! Last week they finished their 3-D movie (premiering next year), got back from the European release of Camp Rock, Nick celebrated his 16th birthday and played baseball for 3 hours, performed on Dancing with the Stars, who knows how many concerts, and as of next week they shall start shooting J.O.N.A.S.!! Dude, just typing that made me exhausted. Plus, in early 2009 they will be filming Camp Rock 2 .O_O LOL

Also I believe Ashley Tisdale shall be soon releasing and second album! And finally I think Disney settled on a name for Demi Lovato's new TV show! It started out as Welcome to Mollywood, then Welcome to Holliwood, and then they took a turn and decided to stay with Sunny With a Chance! Weird eh?

Demi Lovato

As of last tuesday, Demi Lovato, Disney Channel superstar and money-maker, released her debut album "Don't Forget". I personally have listened to the whole album and I find it quite good. Of course I can see some places in the lyrics where she could have used a different phrase to make the song more fluent, but other than that and an occasional place in the music where it should have either slowed down or gotten faster it was pretty darn good. But what the heck I should give the kid a break. Its her first album for crying out loud. I haven't listened to the Jonas Brothers first album, but I bet that theirs was similar: songs are O.K. with an occasional hit single and flaws with the music and timing. Look at them now! I can see all their song's on "A Little Bit Longer" being hits (well half of them already are XD ). Below is the track-listing and my rating of each song between the one and five.

Tracklisting:

1. La La Land ****

2. Get Back *****

3. Trainwreck **

4. Party **

5. On The Line (ftr. Jonas Brothers) ***

6. Don't Forget ****

7. Gonna Get Caught ***

8. Two Worlds Collide ***

9. The Middle ***

10. Until Your Mine *****

11. Believe in Me **

Gonna Get Caught sound sorta similar to another song I've heard (it may just be Deja Vu). Party is O.K. but it ought to be a tad more up beat. Trainwreck is exactly what it is.. no offense its kinda dumb.. maybe I need to listen to it more closely. On The Line isn't bad.. good thing Jonas Brothers were in duet with her or it would have been blah. Don't Forget is actually pretty good. Until Your Mine.. hmm I actually thought this song was excellent! The lyrics were nice. La La Land.. dumb name.. lyrics rock.. I love the 'converse with my dress' part! It reminds me of 2 things: the "quinceneara" episode of Wizards of Waverly Place and me (t33 h33). The that I didn't mention are pretty good (check the star rating).
Well I hope you will consistently comeback and read!

P.S. I hope that cord Demi has in her mouth isn't plugged in.. I can see the headline now "Demi Lovato dies During Photo Shoot because she put a cord in her mouth because it would be an awesome shot!" :]
